Shannon Messina
MEGABEAT INSTRUCTOR
Shannon’s passion for movement began at just three years old when she started dancing. She went on to train in classical ballet with the New Jersey Ballet Company before expanding her athletic pursuits to competitive soccer, basketball, and softball at The Pingry School. She continued her soccer career at Muhlenberg College, playing for the women’s team her freshman year.
Shannon discovered Pilates in 2015 while recovering from Lyme disease and was immediately drawn to its low-impact yet incredibly effective approach to strength and conditioning. The method quickly became a passion, inspiring her to become an instructor. Since 2019, she has been teaching Xformer classes and helping clients build strength, confidence, and resilience through mindful movement.
Shannon lives in Fair Haven and loves spending time with her two grown daughters and her chihuahua when she’s not in the studio. She is thrilled to share her enthusiasm for Pilates and her lifelong love of fitness with the Poe community.
